Join a Peer Discussion Group for the Parents of Teenagers

(Grades 6 – 11)

 

You’re a good parent who wants to keep your teenager safe while giving them the freedom they demand. Maybe you could use some help? Don’t miss this six-week discussion group based on the book, Please Stop the Rollercoaster: How Parents of Teenagers Can Smooth Out the Ride by Sue Blaney. Join your parenting peers for frank discussions of topics ranging from “The Myth of Perfection” to “Friends, Culture and Risk Behavior.”

Workbooks will be available at no cost to participants. Space is limited. To register, please call Lakewood Public Library Children’s and Youth Services at (216) 226-8275, ext. 140. Participants are asked to read each week’s chapter(s) before the discussion. Chapter One will be covered during the first meeting.

Two sessions to choose from: Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m. ¬– 8:30 p.m., October 5 – November 9 Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., October 6 – November 10 Main Library Meeting Room.
